Have you ever said: I wish that deal would close, the contract sign, get that loving relationship, or the property close, get the promotion, the tenant, the big client, land the big fish I’m looking for?

I’m entirely consumed about what I need. What I want. How it will make my problems smaller. A better life.

But when I sit down here with you Friend, I wonder as I fanatically scour across the seas, is there a greater irony . . . maybe that I already have everything I need? Is it possible?

There are approximately 18,000 species of butterflies in the world. 18,000 species!

Speaking of illusions, butterfly wings are transparent. Who knew?!

Their vibrant colors come from millions of tiny scales that reflect and refract light. These scales can fall off as the butterfly ages, revealing the clear membrane underneath.

If you try to grab a butterfly, it will always flutter just out of reach. But if you sit still, they may land on you.

Only once in my life, have I seen someone ‘catch’ a butterfly. She was calm. Relaxed. She didn’t run after it. Softly called it.

🦋 With her arm outstretched, she waited patiently. Only then it landed.

You try tonight, by your bed or outside. Not to catch the butterfly, but to practice . . . letting it come to you.
